Some Christmas fun!

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? We decided to get into the holiday spirit by making Color Coder Christmas! It's almost the same as the classic Color Coder, but instead you have to find patterns of Christmas pictures! Check it out on the Android market and help us spread some Christmas cheer!

Color Coder Lite Update

Well after a few weeks of testing and feedback, we've made a few changes to Color Coder Lite. As of yesterday, the updated version of the app is available on the Android market. Some of the changes include a game over buzzer sound and a button for clearing the entire board if you choose the wrong starting cell.

We're getting closer to having everything finished for the full version of the game! Also, we've got a plan for a "special" version of the app that could hit the market as soon as next week. Be sure to check back soon!

Downplay Games: A beginning.

We are Downplay Games: A (very) small group of people springing into the competitive world of game making. So far we are 2 programmers with very little game programming experience and an artist.

We've been talking about seriously working on some stuff this summer, and we should have some definitive information on projects pretty soon. So far we're thinking:

-A Co-op platformer with physics based puzzles

-A top-down zombie maze game

-A western themed Hybrid action/adventure game with multiple game play elements.

So far, we've just talked about technology we'll be using, and the platforms we'll be developing for. We've run into some snags in development platforms (fees for development/deployment).

I've been focusing on playing around with the UDK which is what I'll be focusing on. The UDK 2011 has a mobile SDK which works with iOS, so that would be a good springboard into mobile development.

Kyle is working on his zombie game (seen on Downplay Games Youtube), and thinking of making a simple puzzle game mobile app.

Tia will be focusing on providing art for our projects.

More information on projects coming soon.
